Terry LaBan (born July 19, 1961) is an alternative and underground cartoonist best known for his comic book series *Cud* and the syndicated newspaper strip *Edge City*, which he created with his wife, Patty LaBan, a couples and family therapist. His work is marked by sympathetic, believable characters, naturalistic dialogue, a tight cartooning style, and straightforward storytelling. LaBan’s career in comics began in the late 1980s, and over the decades he has worked as a writer, artist, colorist, inker, and letterer on more than sixty issues. Beyond *Cud* and *Edge City*, his credits include *Grendel Tales: The Devil May Care*, *Unsupervised Existence*, *Looney Tunes*, and *Battleaxes*. He remains active, with his most recent credited work appearing in 2022.
