Tim Levins
Tim Levins is a Canadian comic book artist best known for his clean, expressive style on DC’s animated-universe titles. Born in Canada, he entered the industry in the late 1990s, quickly making an impression as a co-creator. With writer J. Torres, he launched *The Copybook Tales*, followed by the miniseries *Siren* for Image Comics in 1998, and later *The Family Dynamic* for DC in 2008. His most sustained work came as the penciller on *Batman: Gotham Adventures* from 1999 to 2003, collaborating with writer Scott Peterson. Levins also contributed to *Justice League Adventures*, *Scooby-Doo*, *Flinch*, and *Amazing Spider-Man Family*, demonstrating versatility across genres. Over a career spanning from 1997 to 2022, he was credited on 59 issues as artist, colorist, inker, or letterer. While he never received major industry awards, his work remains a fondly remembered part of DC’s animated-era comics, particularly for its faithful yet lively depictions of familiar characters. Levins’s legacy is that of a reliable craftsman who helped define the visual tone of Batman’s animated adventures on the page.
