Toyotarou, born May 17, 1978, in Japan, is a manga artist best known for illustrating *Dragon Ball Super*, the official sequel to Akira Toriyama’s legendary series. He began his career as a fan artist, contributing to *Dragon Ball* video games and doujinshi before being tapped by Toriyama himself to draw the manga adaptation of the 2015 film *Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’*. That led to his signature work: the ongoing *Dragon Ball Super* manga, which he has drawn since 2015, with Toriyama providing story outlines until his passing in 2024. Toyotarou’s style closely mirrors Toriyama’s clean, dynamic linework and expressive character designs, while adding his own flair for kinetic action sequences and detailed battle choreography.
