Description Incomplete Due to Document Type

This collection is not a pulp magazine but rather official U.S. Air Force documentation from Project "Sign" (1948-1949), the predecessor to Project Blue Book. It contains reports on unidentified flying objects collected by the Air Materiel Command at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

The primary detailed incident is Case #151 from July 29, 1948, in Indianapolis, Indiana: witnesses observed a propeller-shaped object approximately 6-8 feet long and 1.5-2 feet wide, aluminum-colored, traveling 25-30 mph at 30 feet altitude near tree level in a banking descent. The object made no sound, left no exhaust trail, and disappeared into a wooded area. Military investigators recovered no physical evidence. General Electric Corporation confirmed the object was not their experimental roto-chute. Evaluations categorize sightings by likelihood of astronomical, balloon, rocket, or unexplained origins.
