This document is not a pulp magazine catalog item but rather military correspondence from 1960. It comprises two identical memoranda from Fort McPherson, Georgia (dated May 10, 1960) forwarding to Air Material Command at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base a newspaper clipping from the Birmingham Post (May 5-6, 1960) regarding an unidentified aerial object sighting. The clipping reports seven witnesses, including O. L. Reid (former newspaperman and Southern Groceries Corp. president) and Charles Belknyder (Navy veteran), observing a glowing, luminous white object that changed to bluish-white, remained stationary for approximately fifteen minutes, exhibited rotating motion and bullet-shaped configuration, pulsed with brightness, and finally ascended vertically and disappeared. Witnesses disputed prosaic explanations including searchlights and furnace reflections. The object reportedly displayed a long fiery tail extending to approximately 150 feet.
