Amazing Stories

This document comprises official U.S. Air Force UFO reporting materials from 1952. It contains a standardized "Observers Questionnaire" form distributed by the Air Technical Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, designed to collect systematic data on unidentified aerial sightings. The multi-page questionnaire solicits detailed information from witnesses: observation dates and times, geographic locations, observer position and movement, object appearance (shape, color, brightness, transparency), behavioral characteristics (direction changes, speed variations, luminosity), duration of sighting, size estimation relative to known objects, altitude and distance calculations, and comparative sketches. The final section requests witness biographical information and opinions on the object's nature. Also included is a formal Air Intelligence Information Report detailing Professor G. B. Sias's August 26, 1952 sighting in Sassari, Sicily. Sias reported observing a moon-sized, luminous blue-white sphere with metallic streaks that moved rapidly eastward, alternately appearing and vanishing in a patterned fashion over three to five seconds, leaving a luminous trail. The interviewing officer characterized Sias as intelligent but intense, noting the professor believed the phenomenon represented either classified U.S. technology or a supernatural occurrence.
