This document is not a pulp magazine but rather a military record card from Project 10073 (the U.S. Air Force's UFO investigation program, later called Project Blue Book). Dated November 25, 1955, it documents a UFO sighting near Lamax, Illinois. The observation report describes a round, white and yellow glowing object descending in a ball shape with four points, classified as "possibly parhelia" (sun dogs—atmospheric optical phenomena). A subsequent memorandum analyzing a 35mm color slide concludes no foreign objects are visible and attributes any unusual appearance to reflection of the setting sun or sun dogs. The assessment concludes the sighting lacks sufficient data for evaluation.
