This document consists of military UFO investigation forms and witness statements dated June 1957, concerning an unidentified aerial sighting near McKeesport, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh.
The observation occurred at approximately 2400 hours on June 27, 1957. Civilian witnesses reported three circular objects, initially round then flattening and elongating, white-silver in color, approximately baseball to orange/grapefruit-sized. The objects appeared in triangular formation with two leading and one following; a red light flashed on the trailing object. Observation duration was two to five minutes; the objects climbed straight ahead and passed out of sight.
Official investigation reviewed multiple sources: Greater Pittsburgh Control Tower radar recorded unidentified blips in the McKeesport area around 2020 EST; F-84 fighters were vectored to the scene; pilots attributed lights to steel mill illumination. Ground Observer Corps had no corroborating reports. Weather Bureau released no weather balloons in the area. The investigating officer concluded natural explanations most probable.
