This issue features five serialized narratives and two complete short stories. The book-length novel Getting Away from Thompson by Edgar Franklin spans chapters I–XXII. Four serial installments appear: William Wallace Cook's The Old West Per Contract (chapters I–VI), George M. A. Cain's From Dusk to Dark (chapters I–VI), Joseph Ivers Lawrence's The Heir to Three Millions (continuation, chapters VI–XII), and Richard Duffy's Fools of Sacrifice (continuation, chapters XX–XXVII). Two short stories complete the fiction content: "A Good Indian" by William Alfred Corey and "For the Hard Places" by Wilson Clay Missimer. An editorial section titled "The Log-Book" concludes the literary material. The June issue is promoted as featuring Ships of Strife by Captain A. E. Dingle and the serial His Mad Move on the Movies by Stephen Brandish, described as an extraordinary narrative about the motion-picture industry.
