# The Argosy, August 1916 Issue
This issue of The Argosy features one complete novel: "Hampton of the Heights" by Joseph Ivers Lawrence, presented across twenty-seven chapters. The magazine also includes three serial installments: "His Isle of Refuge" (Part I, Chapters I–VI), "The Star of Adventure" (Part II, Chapters X–XVI), and "His Mad Move on the Movies" (Part III, Chapters XI–XIII).
Eight short stories round out the fiction content, including "Dropping into the Nicor" by F. K. Scribner, a Leslie Davis piece, "Cochrane Hands Out a Lemon" by R. K.
