Months later, the brothers and their companions journey to a haunted Spanish Mission ruin on a Texas prairie hill. Scraps fears the spirits of the hundred-plus massacre victims buried there. Approaching at dusk, they encounter a white-robed phantom figure in the trail that calls out warnings. Night Hawk orders Broncho Bill to lasso rather than shoot the mysterious apparition as it flees into the timber.
