"Omaha Oil: The Masked Terror; or, Deadwood Dick in Danger" by Edward L. Wheeler features two chapters. After El Gamin wins ten consecutive games, Monte stakes his final $8,000 against equal stakes. During the decisive game, El Gamin accuses Monte of cheating by playing an invalid domino move, and demands they replay. Chapter II begins introducing the Harris family and references a strange message, though the text becomes fragmentary.
