# Catalog Note

"La Orgía del Caserón" by Ralph Barby is a horror narrative following two parallel storylines. The first, set in a snow-covered cemetery at night, depicts Maximiliam Blade forcing two gravediggers to exhume the coffin of Horace Pathros. Upon opening it, they discover Pathros's body with a shrunken head—lips stitched shut, eyes open, pierced by a long black needle—replacing his normal head. Blade then produces an identical shrunken head from his coat pocket, causing one gravedigger to die of terror while his companion collapses. The second narrative introduces Leonard Blade, Maximiliam's older brother: a travel writer and former Air Force pilot who receives a cryptic telegram summoning him to Paris. Arriving at Maximiliam's luxurious apartment, Leonard finds it flooded with intense artificial light and discovers his brother in a disturbed psychological state. The story remains incomplete in this excerpt but establishes a mystery connecting the brothers to the macabre discovery in the cemetery.
