Selección Terror: Satanás no necesita médicos

· 1980

# Catalog Note

This December 1980 Spanish pulp horror collection presents "Satanas No Necesita Médicos" (Satan Needs No Doctors) by Clark Carrados, from the Selección Terror series. The narrative opens with the funeral of Sally Heaton, whose grieving parents mourn her death from illness. Doctor Winston Graham Huckmaster and his associate Storrel secretly exhume the corpse that night, absconding with the body into darkness. The story then shifts to protagonist Darcy Byrnes, who reunites with his former romantic interest Minna Svenson, now a wealthy widow, and they resume their affair. A young woman named Ethel Barrow interrupts to warn Minna against selling her property "Los Robles" to the sinister Doctor Huckmaster, whom she identifies as a murderer. Minna dismisses her. Later, Minna asks Byrnes to investigate Huckmaster's background in the village of Five Miles. The narrative concludes with a pastoral scene of Moira Stevens, a young country woman tending cattle, unaware she is being watched by unseen eyes—she suffers a mysterious puncture wound on her chest.
