# "El espía alemán" by Lou Carrigan (1965)
This Spanish-language spy serial follows Brigitte Montfort, a female intelligence operative who works for both American intelligence and a newspaper. Charles Alan Pitzer (U.S. secret service chief) and Miky Grogan (newspaper editor) nervously await her arrival at Grogan's office. Brigitte produces a letter from Baron Wilhelm von Steinheil, a German spy who knows of her espionage activities and her mother's execution in France during wartime. Von Steinheil offers to sell valuable military plans to the United States and proposes negotiating through Brigitte in Miami, flattering her appearance while claiming personal honor. Pitzer analyzes the letter's authenticity and implications, debating whether von Steinheil may be defecting from East Germany or seeking revenge. Brigitte, undeterred by danger, agrees to travel to Miami with Frank Minello, a colleague from the newspaper's sports section, obtaining plane tickets before departing.
