# "Una víbora en tu seno" by Lou Carrigan
This spy thriller follows Brigitte Montfort, a journalist-spy known as CIA agent "Baby," as she uncovers a crisis in Central America. After learning via news broadcast that one CIA collaborator, Gregorio Azaña, has been assassinated in El Salvador and five others—Teófilo Paván, Lucas Otero, Herminio Pérez, Luis Costas, and Francisco Herreros—have been exposed and are now hunted, Brigitte demands answers from "Uncle Charlie" Pitzer, her CIA sector chief in New York. When the Central refuses to provide details despite the obvious danger to her colleagues, Brigitte decides to travel independently to El Salvador to investigate the situation herself, against official CIA directives. The narrative depicts her determination to uncover who murdered Azaña, who betrayed the entire operation to Salvadoran media, and what larger conspiracy is unfolding in the region.
