# Brigitte en Acción
This Spanish-language pulp serial, authored by Lou Carrigan, follows the adventures of Brigitte Montfort ("Baby"), described as the world's most beautiful woman and a shrewd spy. Four formally dressed gentlemen—Martin, Joseph, Zabulon, and Isaac—visit her Manhattan apartment to propose that she become queen of Atlantic Kingdom, a remote island nation positioned above the Bahamas. They explain that an IBM electronic computer, after analyzing data on twenty-five thousand women worldwide, selected her based on her intelligence, multilingual abilities, philanthropic work, refined culture, and anti-racist perspective. The four million islanders have unanimously accepted her as their future monarch. Initially skeptical and convinced the visit is an elaborate prank orchestrated by her acquaintance Frankie, Brigitte eventually realizes the men are serious in their proposition, though their true intentions remain unclear as the excerpt ends with an unexpected visitor arriving at her door.
