The Cavalier, March 14, 1914

This March 14, 1914 issue of The Cavalier features five short stories, one novelette, and four continuing serials, along with five poems and an editor's column. John Fleming Wilson contributed the novelette "Aurora Borealis." The four serials are Rothvin Wallace's "Serenade" (Part I, about a film leading a man toward fate); Herbert Flowerdew's "The Motor Kuklux" (Part II, concerning a nameless nemesis terrorizing auto drivers); Varick Vanardy's "The Night Wind's Promise" (Part III, involving recovery of a million dollars and a man's liberty); and J. U. Giesy's "All for His Country" (Part IV, where a woman's love preserves national honor). Short stories include Forrest Halsey's "Grim Fate on the Grover C.," Harold Titus's "Still Water," Frank Condon's "The Fur Coat," Martha McCulloch-Williams's "With the Best Intentions," and Gardner Hunting's "Tinfoil Charley."
