# Catalog Entry: Private Eye Magazine
This issue contains four mystery stories and serializations. "The Case of the Alcan Highway Murder" by William Bogart features Alberta Reilly, a blonde truck-company operator, who flies north on the Alcan Highway to investigate the disappearance of driver Chuck Eggers and his cargo—a life-saving iron lung destined for Whitehorse. She drives the truck herself and picks up a mysterious hitchhiker with a foreign accent who demands she stop the vehicle while a car follows them. "The Case of the Cryptic Note" by Milton K. Ozake involves Henry Topps framing a corpse discovered in a cupboard to avoid legal trouble over mistaken identity. "The Case of the Red-Haired Girls" by Harry Whittington presents Pat Raffigan, a fashionable private investigator seeking a missing redhead caught in a major criminal scheme. "The Case of the Jeweled Dagger" by Philip Ketchum presents a murder at a wedding where the groom is killed with his sister-in-law's dagger. The final story, partially OCR-illegible, involves Danny attempting escape after an unintentional murder and planted evidence.
