This Spanish-language pulp magazine, "Máscaras de Oro" (Golden Masks) by Alan Parker, is the fortieth issue of the "Doble Juego" (Double Game) collection, published by Ediciones Ceres in Barcelona, 1983.

The serial chronicles professional wrestler Tony Lamota's moral crisis. A skilled but technically-minded fighter, Lamota struggles against the entertainment industry's demands for spectacle over pure athleticism. His trainer Rizzo and associates like the flamboyant Puerto Rican "Chico" Gómez and "Jabato" counsel him to adopt a theatrical persona—elaborate costumes, stage names, dramatic antics—to achieve financial success and promoter approval. Lamota resists this commercialism.

Before a Saturday night bout against the aging "Mano de Piedra" (Stone Hand) Clarence, a criminal associate named Máximo offers Lamota 750 pesos to permanently injure his opponent, threatening violence if he refuses. During the match, Lamota brutally defeats the elderly wrestler—breaking his nose, injuring his leg, bloodying him—driven by both payment obligation and crowd enthusiasm. The narrative culminates as Lamota prepares to deliver a finishing blow to his helpless, supplicating opponent.
