Asesinato en el hipódromo

This issue of Doble Juego (issue 48, February 1983) features "Asesinato en el Hipódromo" (Murder at the Racetrack) by Alan Parker. Inspector Hopkins receives a call from Mrs. Mason about her husband Jack, a famous jockey, who has left a suicide note. Investigating at their home, Hopkins is captivated by the attractive Mrs. Mason but dismisses the case as routine. Police later discover a car belonging to Jack Mason has been driven into the Thames. Hopkins begins reinvestigation when Mrs. Mason reveals a threatening phone call: an unknown man claims he murdered Jack and warns there will be more victims. The body remains missing. Hopkins takes the case seriously, now treating it as homicide rather than suicide, and heads to the racetrack where he encounters jockey Tim Benson and horse "White Wolf" in an ongoing investigation into the murder conspiracy.
