This occurs in Eastbourne and later in Camberwell. The intruder's strange interest in bank-books and ledgers suggests a deliberate investigation rather than ordinary crime. The issue also includes "Night of the Hi-jack" by Arthur Kent, "Savage Death" by Vern Hansen, "The Phantom Guest" by Rex Dolphin, and "Harvest of Homicide" by Martin Thomas, plus "The Man who Paid to Die," listed as true crime.
