# "El tren de carretera" (The Road Train)

This Spanish-language adventure serial follows Indiana James, a penniless traveler stranded in Darwin, Australia. After failing to locate his friend Floyd Freedman through multiple phone calls (each requiring borrowed dollars from an Aboriginal elder named Kylelo), James learns Freedman now operates an aircraft in Fowler's Bay. Kylelo offers James employment: driving a massive "Road Train"—a truck with multiple trailers—from Darwin to Adelaide over three days for $300, with the truck driver Kenny McHospers as co-pilot. James accepts, assuming control of the vehicle loaded with refrigerated goods, cereals, fish, and furniture. During his first driving shift on the Stuart Highway after dark, mysterious warnings from another vehicle about his trailers create mounting tension and concern about potential mechanical failure or accident.
