# Mr. Warrenne: Medical Practitioner

This installment of a serialized novel concerns the romantic entanglement of Captain Dick Scudamore and the Warrenne family. Upon learning that his son plans to marry young, blind Alice Warrenne rather than her capable older sister Maud—whom he had expected Dick to choose—Mr. Scudamore journeys to the Warrennes' home. He finds Maud gathering roses and reveals Dick's intention, shocking both grandfather and granddaughter.
