This issue features five science fiction stories set on the colonized planet Loki. The lead novelette, "Mournful Monster" by Dan Malcolm, follows anthropologist David Marshall, who survives a plane crash in unexplored jungle with four other passengers. Stranded a thousand miles from civilization, they must trek toward the colony of New Lisbon. A second novelette, "Vampires from Outer Space" by Richard F. Watson, depicts seven-foot bat creatures spreading terror across colonies. Additional short stories include "The Abominable Creature" by F. X. Fallon, "The Huge and Hideous Beasts" by James Rosenqvest, and "A Cry for Help" by Eric Rodman, concerning mysterious beings that can alter human minds. The issue also includes feature articles "Look to the Stars" by Scott Nevets and "Nuclear News" by Steven Rory. Cover and interior illustrations by Emsh.
