The Saint Mystery Magazine, April 1959, edited by Leslie Charteris, presents six complete stories and one serial installment. "Raffles and Shipmate Sadie" by Barry Perowne features the gentleman thief Raffles at a Naval barracks during a racquets tournament; complications arise when Raffles and his companion Bunny Manders are enlisted to aid a doctor attending a patient. Sax Rohmer's "The Death Ring of Sneferu" offers historical adventure involving an Egyptian artifact. Stuart Palmer contributes "Drop of Green Fire"; E. Phillips Oppenheim provides "Momentous Blemish"; and Hayden Howard's "City in the Bottle" features a protagonist who is notably drunk for much of the narrative. Leslie Charteris includes "The Brass Buddha." Additional pieces include "Run, Pedro, Run!" by Joseph F. Callahan and "Charles, Nicknamed Stinky" by Polly S. MacManus. A regular feature, "What's New in Crime" by Hans Stefan Santesson, concludes the issue.
