This issue features three action-adventure Western novels. "Death Wears Six-Shooters" by Harry F. Olmsted opens with Carcajou Britt, a one-armed trapper, returning to a northern Canadian Indian village after ten years to retrieve his son Johnny, whom he left in the care of the old chief Calling Crow—intending to train the boy in gunfighting to exact vengeance on an unnamed enemy. "Gun-Thunder Trap" by C. K. Shaw involves investigator Oliver Seeley examining murders at Mary's Pass. "Boothill Bound" by Ed Earl Repp follows Steve through a gunfight after receiving advice about defending one's reputation.

Additional content includes novelettes "Books or Bullets" by C. William Harrison (about schoolteacher Gary Blake choosing between teaching and gunfighting) and "Last of the Outcast Clan" by Norman A.
