This Early February 1933 issue of "West" magazine contains six main stories. "The Wild Bunch" by Harry Sinclair Drago is a complete novel about two elderly outlaws, Nez Smith and Shorty Ducro, escaping across the Amargosa Desert with thirty thousand dollars stolen from the Drover's National Bank in Las Animas. Pursued by a blizzard, they trek through harsh terrain growing increasingly suspicious of each other's intentions regarding the stolen money. The issue also includes "The Fighting Strain" by Bennett Foster about oil field conflict; "Jerico Takes the Rough String" by Foster-Harris concerning wild horse-breaking; "Hills Without End" by Glenn H. Wichman; "The Roundup" conclusion by Clarence E. Mulford featuring Fighting Bob Corson; "Breed of the Frontier" by Ernest Haycox; and "The Third Eye" by Raymond W. Porter. Poetry and additional features complete the issue.
