Flores, whose ungoverned temper had never known the slightest restraint, sprang after her, and seized her slender wrist in his grasp. ‘*You shall stop!” he fiercely exclaimed. As Ninada, with a slight cry, tried to release herself, Van, feeling his blood tingling to his finger tips, stood before him. ‘* You will let go Ninada’s wrist,” he said, as calmly as he could; yet there was a suggestion of menace in his voice. ‘‘Not at_vour bidding!” scornfully replied the now infuriated young man.
