What was his surprise to see, standing not a rod away, his old enemy, Vixen, gazing at him witha look that was half-doubtful, half-questioning? A slight sensation of uneasiness passed over him as he recalled the last occasion upon which they met, but as she showed no intention of reopening comicbooks.«
