AIR ADVENTURER 73 Gray planes skidded crazily out of Shorty’s path as he whipped the Stormer through the heavens. A moment In the belly of the fuselage a machine gun could be seen pointing downward, A sliding hatch on’ the top, in the tail structure, showed another machine gun. On either side of the angular-shaped windows on the sides were swivel ma- chine guns mounted in the sills. For- ward, in the bombardier’s eockpit, an- other gun protected the ship from frontal attack. Like his own monster transport the bomber was a flying fort- ress except for the rapid-fire.
