An Interrupted Wedding; or, Marion Marlowe as Maid of Honor "An Interrupted Wedding" is a sentimental domestic narrative by Grace Shirley, serialized in this April 1901 issue. The story concerns Marion Marlowe, who experiences unexplained distress over her friend Alma Allyn's impending wedding, later revealed to mask her own dormant romantic feelings toward Dr. Brookes.
