Fletcher, is a mystery novel set in London's Bayswater, opening with a young gentleman named Viner reading to his aunt Miss Penkridge, an elderly woman devoted to sensational fiction. The second serial, "The Hand of Esau" by J. Frank Davis, concludes in this installment. Notable short stories include "Sheriff Dan Doud" by Frederick R. Bechdolt, a Western tale set in contemporary Arizona; "Save the Mail or Die" by Charles Phelps Cushing, featuring an airplane mail-carrier and Marine guard; "Dynamite Sims and the Princess" by James Francis Dwyer, involving a Western bodyguard protecting a Russian princess at sea; and "Inyoko" by Robert Stewart Davis, depicting African jungle life. Additional stories address golf, Navy life, track athletics, and the drug trade.
