Volume 5 of *A Certain Scientific Accelerator* delivers a cover that perfectly captures the series' tense, unsettling edge — Accelerator's pale silver hair and sharp red eyes fixed forward as he grips a brown-haired figure who faces away from us, the two pressed close in what feels equal parts confrontation and something harder to name.
