Aâma #1
Frederik Peeters brings his singular vision to this German-language edition of *Aâma*, the opening chapter subtitled "Der Geruch von heißem Staub" (The Smell of Hot Dust). The cover, drawn and inked by Peeters himself, sets a striking tone: three figures stride confidently down a narrow urban alley — a primate in a blue harness, a man in a pale green jacket, and another in a studded black outfit — while a heavyset figure crouches to the right and a dense, towering cityscape looms in the blue-lit distance behind them. Published by Reprodukt in 2014, this is science fiction with a distinctly European sensibility, and Peeters' atmospheric linework makes even this single cover image feel alive with mystery and forward momentum.
