Acriborea #1
“Der Auserwählte”
The German science-fiction series Acriborea launches here with "Der Auserwählte" ("The Chosen One"), the first chapter of what looks to be a high-energy futuristic adventure. Stéphane Créty's cover drops us into a dizzying urban sprawl where two armed figures sprint across an elevated walkway — a blond man in a white coat brandishing a blade and a woman in combat gear — while a shadowy third figure watches from behind and a massive gunship looms threateningly overhead. It's a confident, visually arresting opener from writers Sylvain Cordurié and Astrid Brachlow that sets an immediately tense, action-driven tone for this 2007 series.
