The second volume of Evil Twin Comics' celebrated anthology series arrives in 2006, spotlighting Karl Marx, Machiavelli, Descartes, Sartre, Derrida, Wittgenstein, St. Thomas Aquinas, Kierkegaard, and the Kabbalah — a remarkable lineup of thinkers given the comics treatment. Ryan Dunlavey's cover captures the spirit perfectly: a wide-eyed figure recoils in existential alarm as a luminous lightbulb explodes from his open skull, while a cast of wild, exaggerated philosophers — including a machine-gun-toting figure and a triumphant suited man — tumble and gesticulate above him.
