“Mission from the Grave”

"Mission from the Grave" kicks off with Albert Dupres, a fugitive from a penal colony, seeking refuge with a native witch doctor—only to betray and murder him. Taking the man’s magic potions, Dupres uses his newfound power to craft deadly "breads of madness" and rise to influence, but his reign is haunted by the past. The story unfolds with eerie tension, as the witch doctor’s return from the grave promises a reckoning. Mike Sekowsky’s art, inked by Mike Peppe and lettered by Herb Field, brings the tale’s dark mystique to life, while George Roussos’s cover captures the island’s sinister allure.
