Adventures into the Unknown #40
In "Heart of the Snow Maiden," a haunting tale from 1953, a village in the Alps is touched by the icy beauty of the Snow Maiden, a being of living snow who falls for a humble villager—until the wrath of the Ice King brings ruin. Decades later, sculptor Gil discovers her frozen heart amid the ruins and, with careful hands, breathes new life into her with a body carved from ice. Now, the Ice King has crossed continents to finish what he started, hunting them both through a world far from the mountains that once held their fate. Cover by Ken Bald, art by Harry Lazarus.
