The fourth volume of Aimé Lacapelle from Fluide Glacial presents a wonderfully chaotic scene: a harried fellow clutching a large cardboard box while a horde of rambunctious red creatures — some dog-like, some decidedly unclassifiable — swarm around him alongside scattered mice, insects, and assorted critters. Ferri's loose, expressive ligne claire style turns the simple premise of creatures running amok into something genuinely delightful, with comic energy spilling across every corner of the cover. If you enjoy French humor comics with a cheerfully absurdist edge, this 2007 Audie release looks like a very entertaining addition to the series.
