“Valkyrie's Viking Flying Club”

In "Valkyrie's Viking Flying Club," Dan Barry's dynamic art brings to life a surreal clash of myth and mayhem, as The Heap—once transformed by Ceres into a peaceful being—faces a dangerous test when Mars bets that conflict will undo the change. With the stakes high and the desert tribes on the brink, a ruthless group seeks the legendary Black Tashmal, having already shattered a sacred unicorn statue to ignite war, and The Heap is drawn into their violent scheme. Arthur Peddy and Bernard Sachs deliver a striking cover that captures the story’s wild, otherworldly energy.

After Ceres transforms The Heap into a peaceful creature, Mars wagers her that if he places the creature into a conflict of some sort, The Heap will revert to a creature of destruction. So, The Heap becomes a tool of ruthless men who are bound and determined to obtain rights to the famed Black Tashmal, and who have destroyed the revered unicorn statue in order to cause desert tribal warfare.
