This handsome 2010 intégrale from Fluide Glacial collects the collaborative work of Alexis and Gotlib, two talents whose partnership produced some of Franco-Belgian comics' most delightfully off-kilter humor. The cover sets the tone perfectly: a gaunt, bowler-hatted figure in formal dress shares an awkwardly intimate moment with a wide-eyed blonde, the whole scene rendered with that loose, expressive line work that made their strips so irresistibly funny. A great way to dive into or revisit this irreverent corner of the bande dessinée tradition.
