Alice in Borderland #2
Haro Asô's survival thriller continues with this unsettling second volume, its cover dominated by a figure wearing a horse's head and clutching a violet submachine gun — a jarring image that captures the series' knack for blending the surreal with genuine menace. Swirling greens and grays churn behind the masked figure, lending the whole composition a dizzying, dreamlike unease. If the first volume pulled you in, this 2013 Delcourt/Tonkam edition makes clear that the Borderland is only getting stranger.
