Alice in the Country of Clover #[1]
Mamenosuke Fujimaru's cover art for this 2012 Seven Seas Entertainment release sets a wonderfully unsettling tone: Alice — wide-eyed, clutching a white rabbit, dressed in her signature blue — is surrounded by the tall, dark-clad twins Dee and Dum in both their adult and child forms, scattered playing cards and gleaming scythes adding a delicious edge of menace to the scene. The checkerboard floor, crimson roses, and vivid butterfly-patterned drapes give the whole composition a lush, theatrical quality that feels right at home in the dangerous whimsy of Wonderland. With story by QuinRose and art by Fujimaru, *Alice in the Country of Clover: Bloody Twins* looks like a treat for fans of dark fantasy romance manga.
