All-New X-Men #11
Part of the 2016 "X-Men: Apocalypse Wars" crossover event, this issue presents one of mutantkind's most imposing threats in brutal, visceral terms — a massive, armored Apocalypse looms over the rubble-strewn foreground, fists clenched, as two battered X-Men figures lie broken and scattered at his feet. Mark Bagley's cover pencils, inked by Andrew Hennessy, convey an overwhelming sense of scale and danger, with billowing smoke and a fiery orange sky amplifying the dread. Dennis Hopeless and the creative team clearly aren't pulling punches in this chapter of the All-New X-Men's ongoing struggle.
