“In the Darkness”

"In the Darkness" is a chilling, atmospheric tale from All Star Adventure Comic #6 (1960), a standout entry in the K. G. Murray series. Written and illustrated by Ed Winiarski, the story follows Eva as she seeks help for her endless chores, only to be met with her husband Paul’s ominous warning—don’t speak to anyone. When a mysterious man arrives at their door, offering to work without pay until her tasks are finished, the quiet dread of his presence grows with each passing day. The cover by Ed Winiarski captures the unsettling mood perfectly, making this a must-read for fans of early Australian genre comics.
