Dr. Wonmug's new project is a portable source of continuous energy which he hopes will help eliminate pollution by replacing the internal combustion engine. He gets a chance to try it out when Oop meets a driver at the nearby auto racetrack. A newly-altered racecar running on electricity becomes a winner and might begin to threaten the petroleum industry. Government agents show up and warn Wonmug that his invention will attract the wrong sort of attention and advise him to destroy his invention and his notes and lie low for a while. He decides to accompany Oop back to Moo for a vacation.
