The fifth volume of this Swedish anthology series, edited by Ingemar Bengtsson, arrives with a striking cover by Jan Solheim — a sharply dressed older man and a tattooed red-haired woman move together in what feels like a tense, charged encounter, rendered in a muted, sepia-toned palette punctuated by bold circular shapes in the background. Inside, Solheim pulls triple duty as writer, artist, and inker on "Inbjudna," with colorist Maria Isenbecker rounding out the creative team. It's a handsome 2004 package from Optimal that showcases the confident, stylish sensibility running through this Swedish comics showcase.
