Alpha Flight #17
In "Tokyo Takedown," Sunfire returns to Department H seeking answers about his mysterious radiation poisoning, only to find the facility on edge. When Big Hero 6 calls for help after X the Unknowable attacks a Japanese amusement park, Sunfire departs to assist—prompting Alpha Flight to follow. Meanwhile, Northstar confronts Sasquatch and Shaman outside Department H, who caution him against entering, while Dr. Huxley, unsettled by the new director’s treatment, ventures into the basement toward his secret Weapon X project—just as it escapes. Written by Steve Seagle and Duncan Rouleau, with art by Rouleau and Gus Vazquez, and a cover by Duncan Rouleau, this 1998 issue blends personal stakes with escalating danger.
