Als die Zombies die Welt auffrassen #[nn]
A wonderfully grim slice of German-language horror comics, this 2008 Cross Cult release plunges readers into "Kapitel 1: Ein häusliches Drama in einer Vorstadt-Hölle" — a suburban nightmare rendered in ghoulish greens by cover artist Guy Davis. The cover places a heavyset man in a white shirt and shorts confidently center-stage, rifle in hand, flanked by a dark-haired woman and an older companion, all surrounded by a lurching, decaying horde of zombies pressing in from every direction. Frissen's story promises exactly the darkly comedic, gut-churning tone that Davis's distinctive linework delivers so well — this is zombie mayhem with real personality.
